Botulinum toxin works on one biological principle: it temporarily interrupts the nerve signal that tells a muscle to contract — or a sweat gland to fire. Relax the muscle that keeps creasing the skin above it, and the expression line softens. Point the same molecule at a clenching jaw, an overactive sweat gland, or the fixed injection pattern used for migraine, and it does a different job with the same chemistry. What changes is the map, not the medicine. Who is a candidate
- Anyone bothered by movement lines on the forehead, between the brows, or at the eyes
- Grinders and clenchers with jaw ache, worn teeth, or a squared jaw from muscle
- People with excessive underarm or palm sweating that antiperspirants don't control
- People already diagnosed with chronic migraine seeking to reduce headache days
Not a candidate right now if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis, have an active infection at the injection site, a known allergy to the toxin, or expectations of a permanent or surgical change — toxin is none of those things.
Recovery
There is no real downtime. Small raised bumps at each point settle within 15–30 minutes. For the rest of the day, don't rub the treated area, lie flat, or do heavy exercise. The effect is not instant: it builds over roughly two weeks, then holds for about three to four months before it gradually wears off. Nothing here is permanent — as the toxin clears, muscle movement returns, so this is fully reversible over time.
What it is not
Botulinum toxin relaxes muscle. It does not fill hollows, does not resurface skin, and does not tighten loose skin. It is often searched alongside laser resurfacing, Morpheus8, or a chemical peel — usually by people whose lines stay etched even when the face is still. Two honest points: those static lines and any texture or pigment concern sit outside what toxin can reach; and HEC runs no laser, no radiofrequency, no energy device, and does no chemical peels. So if the concern is a line at rest, surface texture, or pigmentation, we will say plainly that a toxin session won't fix it, and point you toward the right route — topical dermatology, filler, or a resurfacing service we don't provide — rather than sell an appointment that can't deliver. Masseter toxin slims a jaw made heavy by muscle; it does nothing for jaw width driven by bone or fat.
The package
Toxin here is sold as a plan, not a loose vial. Before anything is injected, a dermatology or aesthetic-medicine specialist signs off your map within 24 hours — every plan is specialist-led and costed, so you get one number per plan rather than a per-unit tally counted out in the chair. The plan covers the consultation, the photographed dose map, the session itself, a review at about two weeks, and 12-month video follow-up so we can watch how the result settles and time your next visit. Recovery is our lounge, not a ward. An overnight hotel stay can be added if you're travelling. Same-day in, same-day out.
