A medical facial does one honest thing well: it cleans the skin far more thoroughly than you can at home, then puts back what cleaning strips out. The sequence is mechanical and hydro-based — soften the outer layer, lift away dead cells and the debris packed into pores, then flood the fresh surface with hydrating and soothing serums. Nothing is burned, frozen, or dissolved with acid. The result you notice in the mirror — brighter, smoother, decongested, calmer skin — comes from exfoliation and hydration, not from injury. Not the right answer on its own — we settle these first:
- An active acne breakout that needs medical treatment
- A rosacea flare, sunburn, or broken or infected skin
Recovery None. Your skin may look faintly pink for an hour, which reads as "glow", not irritation. You can wear makeup the same day and resume everything — sun (with SPF), gym, dinner, flights. There is nothing to hide and nothing to peel.
What it is not This is exfoliation and hydration, and we're straight about the edges of it.
It is not a chemical peel or a TCA peel. We use no acids, and HEC does not perform chemical peels at all — so if you searched "chemical peel" and landed here, this is the gentler, no-downtime cousin, not the same treatment.
It is not a laser and not an energy or radiofrequency device. HEC has none. A facial will not resurface deep lines or erase scars, and we won't pretend it does.
For sun spots, melasma or uneven pigment, a facial brightens the surface but will not shift the pigment itself. That goal belongs to pigment mesotherapy — we'll say so plainly and route you there rather than sell you a facial that can't deliver it.
