Dermal fillers — hyaluronic-acid volume and contour in one 30-minute session, reversible if you change your mind
A dermal filler is a soft gel of hyaluronic acid (HA) — the same water-binding sugar your skin already makes and loses with age — placed under the skin through a fine needle or blunt cannula. Where the face has flattened, hollowed or drifted, the gel restores volume and redraws contour in the moment: you see the result on the table, not in six weeks. At HEC this is a same-day daycase visit at our Istanbul clinic (Bahat Medical Group, a JCI- and TEMOS-accredited facility operating in Istanbul, Turkey since 1994). No theatre, no general anaesthetic, no time off work. A dermatology or aesthetic-medicine specialist assesses your face, treats it, and discharges you the same afternoon looking like yourself — rested, not rebuilt.
Because HA is reversible, nothing you decide today is permanent. If you don't love it, the gel can be dissolved.
What it is
HA fillers are cross-linked gels of varying thickness, each matched to the job: a soft, spreadable gel under thin under-eye skin; a firmer, more structural gel along a jaw or chin. The hyaluronic acid is injected precisely into the plane that needs it, then shaped by hand. The molecule draws a controlled amount of water, so the result settles over the first week and holds for many months before the body gradually and safely metabolises the gel. This is a hyaluronic-acid injectable only — we do not use permanent or semi-permanent fillers.
What it can do — by area
| Area | What the filler does |
|---|---|
| Lips | Definition, hydration, gentle volume — lip filler, done conservatively |
| Cheeks / mid-face | Restores the volume that lifts the whole face; cheek filler |
| Jawline & chin | Sharpens and projects a soft or receding jawline; jawline filler |
| Under-eye / tear trough | Softens hollowing and shadow — under-eye filler, chosen carefully |
| Non-surgical nose | Camouflages a bump or lifts the tip — a non-surgical nose job, not rhinoplasty |
| Temples · nasolabial · marionette lines | Refills upper-face hollows and softens the folds that frame the mouth |
Choreography

Who is a candidate
You are likely a good fit if you:
- want to restore lost volume or refine a contour without surgery
- prefer a result you can see, and adjust, the same day
- can pause blood-thinning supplements and alcohol for a couple of days beforehand
Filler is not the right answer if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have an active skin infection or cold sore at the treatment site
- want a change that surgery, not gel, actually delivers — heavy skin laxity, or making a nose genuinely smaller. We will tell you plainly and refer you rather than over-fill.
Recovery
There is no real downtime. Expect mild swelling, and sometimes small bruises, for a day or two — an ice pack and normal make-up cover it. You can work, walk and travel the same day; we simply ask you to skip the gym, saunas and facial pressure for 24 hours. Recovery here is a lounge, not a ward. Your plan includes 12 months of video follow-up, so if anything settles unevenly we review it on camera and adjust — you don't have to fly back to be seen.
What it is not
Fillers are searched under a lot of names, and honesty matters more than a sale:
- A non-surgical nose job reshapes with gel; it cannot make a nose smaller — that is rhinoplasty.
- Filler is not a facelift. It replaces volume; it does not remove or lift loose skin. If that is your goal, we say so.
- We do not use lasers, radiofrequency, or any energy device, and we do not perform chemical peels. If you found us searching for skin resurfacing or tightening, filler is a different tool for a different problem — volume and contour, not surface texture — and we will point you to the right one honestly.
Everything here is reversible: hyaluronidase, an enzyme, dissolves HA filler if you change your mind or want to start over.
The package
Dermal fillers at HEC are sold as one plan, not a per-syringe upsell. The plan is signed by your specialist within 24 hours, fully costed as a single number, and covers the consultation, the session itself, aftercare, and 12 months of video follow-up. An optional hotel night can be added if you are travelling. You approve the number before anything begins — pricing always comes from that plan, never from a page.
